Before

After

These urns are located on the Central Dairy Building in downtown Columbia, Missouri.
There is a total of four urns.

The before picture show the original urn made out of cast ceramic with marbleized glaze.
The urns were attached to the building via metal bars that would, during some storms, be struck by lightening. Often the urns would shatter and/or fall of the building.

The restored urns were made of cast expanding foam with the density of stone.
Over this fiberglass was applied with a painted patina to match the original glaze.
This recasting in foam prevents the possibility of lightening strikes and provides safety for the general public.

The restoration took place in 2006.
